Unicore har sparket i gang forprosjektet til “Når vi ikke dør lenger” på DansiT i Trondheim her i desember 2016!

Friedrich Nietzsches utgivelse “Nietzsches udødelige Tanker” fra 1940 oppfordrer til å leve livet på en måte, som man har lyst til å gjenoppleve det igjen og igjen i all evighet. Under forprosjektet til “Når vi ikke dør lenger” undersøker Unicore begrepet “lykke”.

Unicore ønsker å invitere på et eksistensielt, skamløst og tabufritt tverrsnitt av to stressede lykkejegere som tar Nietzsches udødelig tanker på alvor og desperat prøver å suge livet tørt. Med høy puls og ambisjoner drar de ut på tur på leting etter meningen og den ultimative livsforbedrende eliksir. Ved hjelp av humor, kant og dødsalvor vil vi invitere publikum til en håndgripelig surrealistisk roadtrip komedie som ønsker å begrave stillheten, feire livets tilfeldigheter og hylle kjærligheten til de nære ting.  

Men før Unicore når resultatet om en ferdigstilt forestilling, skal det forskes, lekes, undersøkes, drikkes, danses og improviseres.

MOTHER HUNTING

“Mother Hunting” ain´t nothing but clowns, whores, cops, maids, passersbyies, orphans and criminals – this is a visual music piece, where you don´t know who is the dreamer and who is the dream. Where light, costumes, makeup, soundscapes, songs, music, movement and text melts together into a rich original vocabulary – blending the boundaries of theatre, film and concert.

DAILY LIFE EVERLASTING

Directed by: Dan Safer (Witness Relocation) in collaboration with the students at Norwegian Theatre Academy

“Daily Life Everlasting”- A deviced theatre dance piece with the energy of a rock show, in which people meet, fall in love, make out with each other, find being alive awkward but funny and dance quite a lot. A world premiere of a play by acclaimed writer Charles Mee who with his postmodern technique of reminiscence and lazing-in-the-sun philosophy merge with the group´s high spirits and personalities. Moving around the question how to make a meaning life for ourselves? The team behind and on stage permeate the atmosphere and scenes, welcoming the audience into an open house of dancing into extended kisses, melancholic astronauts and bunny-headed performers who makes you feel like Easter on ecstasy. “Daily Life Everlasting is a hearted celebration of the everyday craziness it is being together on this planet. With original songs by Obie-winning composer Heather Christian.

ROAD RAGE

Directed by: Hans Van den Broeck in collaboration with the students at Norwegian Theatre Academy. Director assistents: Jake Ingram-Dodd and Anuschka Oppen,

“Road Rage” – A physical and deviced theatre dance piece about aggression, anger and an omnipresent sense of something being wrong. It is a hunt and an escape happening in the same place while loud beats and unworldly beautiful soundscapes underlies or trigger the strong emotions bound up to rage. With its detours into different worlds, times and genres, “Road Rage” is a trip down an unpredictable path either alone or together. The piece consists of seven framed improvisations working as the different scenes of the show, all researching the energy that occurs when you throw yourself out in the uncomfortable, the unsure and the unsafe.
